Are you looking for that extra little touch to make your bridesmaids feel loved and appreciated? Well, the searching is over! Even though the wedding day is not about them, it is still important to thank the people that you asked to be by your side on the special day. I have just the thing that is inexpensive, fun, and something they will probably actually use: wedding day emergency kits.
So, let’s face it, the few weeks leading up to a wedding can be a little bit crazy, and someone is bound to forget something. Whether that be deodorant, hair spray, or something as simple as a bobby pin, we want to make sure that they have everything the need! This is an especially good gift if you have bridesmaids from out of town, because their resources are already a little bit limited.
Let’s get started! Here are some ideas of what to put inside the bags:
Clear nail polish/Super glue
The nice thing about this gift idea is that you can pick a few things from the list, maybe 5-8 items, and put them together to make a super cute favor. Some of the things I would definitely recommend adding (based on what was used the most by all the people I gave the too) are: snacks- we do not have time for people to get hangry, water and ibuprofen-sometimes headaches just happen, and bobby pins/hairspray-everyone wants to look their best on wedding day!
I got most items from the dollar store, but you can also buy things in packs from other places and split them up to put in each one.
The other things you will need are some cute bags and a little note or tag explaining what it is. This is the fun part, so get creative! I made stickers that said “Wedding Day Emergency Kit” and glued them on each bag.
I surprised the bridesmaids with the kits the night before when we all went to a hotel for a girls night to get ready for the wedding. You could also do it the morning of the wedding, or at the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. These little gifts are easy and relatively inexpensive! What more could you want? I also had a pretty good time putting them together, and then seeing all the girls use them next day. Send us some pictures if you try out this idea!
Good luck, and happy wedding planning!
