Growing up, having a lemonade stand was a BIG deal. You had to find the perfect spot, have refreshing lemonade, and yummy snacks. Since we all had so much fun hosting one as kids, why not recreate your iconic lemonade stand at your next party?
If you are having an outdoor summer party, a lemonade bar will be the perfect focal point and refreshment spot. Here is how to make one that is chic and practical!
You'll want to make a classic, but elevated, looking lemonade stand. Get some foam boards from the store and tape them together in the back. For the text, you can either cut out letters saying "lemonade" free hand, get stickers, or use a Cricut if you have access to one. We also added some cute lemons and leaves. Then, we attached a simple wooden frame to the back and put it on the table. It truly looked like a lemonade stand.
Having pink & yellow is definitely the move for a lemonade bar! Use your favorite lemonade, store bought or home made, and display it in two drink dispensers. We added sliced lemons in the yellow lemonade and cut strawberries in the pink lemonade. It was a nice little touch that made the lemonade look extra delicious.
We wanted to include some topping options to mix into our guest's lemonade We had fruit like raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. We had mint and rosemary available as well.
If you want to make your cups look cute, we have the perfect trick for you. Take some thick ribbon and cut it to fit around your cup. Then place a small dab of hot glue to secure it. Get some cute paper straws (yay for saving the environment) as the final touch. We also included pink and yellow napkins to tie our color theme together!
Because we love all things decor, we had to make a few extra things to take our lemonade bar to the next level. We added some fake flowers, a lemon bunting, and a yellow and white pom garland We placed these at the end to add some umph to any area that was lacking!
I don't know about you, but whenever I had a lemonade stand as a kid we sold these sugar cookies with our lemonade! Because of the nostalgia factor I HAD to include them as the snack for our bar. We got the lemon flavor. Very on theme, right?
We had so much fun putting this together. It really took us back to our childhood! This would be an amazing edition to any summer party.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
