How to Make a S’mores Charcuterie Board for Your Next Party

One of our favorite ways to celebrate summer is with SMORES. There is nothing better than gathering around the campfire and roasting marshmallows to put between cookies and chocolate. S’mores are the perfect treat and are great for a party or small gathering.

Plus, because Kim and I love going the extra mile, we are taking the classic s’mores a step further. Did somebody say peanut butter cup?! Charcuterie boards are also such a trend right now, and we’ll take any excuse we can to make one. So, we are going to show you how we created the most delicious, and beautiful, s’mores charcuterie board. Your campfire friends won’t know what hit ‘em.

Let’s start with the basics and talk about the actual board. Any tray or serving platter will do, but it’s very on brand to use thin pieces of wood. You can find these at most craft stores or (surprise) thrift stores. You can also be extra outdoorsy and cut/sand them yourself.

The only requirements of a s’more are marshmallow, chocolate, and 2 cookies. Once you’ve got that down, let your imagination run wild and get creative my friends!

For our cookies, we used classic graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, Keebler cookies, and Oreos. I’m not kidding when I say they are all delicious and I had two (or more) of each.

I personally love roasted marshmallows just how they are and believe they should not be tampered with. Plus, there are not many options when it comes to those. But if you are feeling adventurous, the colored or mini ones are a fun alternative.

And now for the most important part….the chocolate.

Hershey’s? We love it. It’s a classic and we will always welcome it with open arms. BUT. If you do one thing this summer, I need you to try a s’mores with a peanut butter cup. It will change your life.

I also love Carmelo chocolate bars for s’mores, especially if you are a Caramel lover.

S’mores charcuterie boards are great for so many reasons. They look stunning, are fun to put together, and give us so many delicious options! My favorite? Keebler cookies, marshmallows, and a peanut butter cup (specifically from Trader Joe’s because I’m obsessed). Thank me later.

We definitely recommend making this for an outdoor campfire party. It’s also great for social distancing because you can make individual ones for each of your guests!Try it out and send us pictures. I promise, you won’t regret it.

Happy roasting!

Natalie
