A new season can bring us many fun things, including new cocktail recipients! Cocktails are one of our essentials when it comes to entertaining, even if you are just having a small get together with close friends or family. It adds an extra special touch to even the most casual celebration, and I can guarantee that your guests will be impressed.
These are some of our favorite flavor combinations for cocktails this fall. We promise they will not disappoint! Plus, they are fun to make and taste oh-so-delicious.
This is hands down my favorite, so I had to put it first. If you love mules, this one's for you. It is the perfect combination of the classic flavors and pumpkin spice, and is so refreshing. Here’s what you will need:
-1 TBS Pumpkin Puree
-Pumpkin Pie Spice
Mix everything except the ginger beer in a cocktail shaker over ice. Pour into a copper mug (it’s a mule, you just have too), and top with the ginger beer. Garnish with a slice of lime and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. You can thank me later.
White Thyme Spritzer
As we head into the holidays, wine is a must. I wanted to shake things up a bit and stray away from the classic glass of wine, so I went with a wine spritzer. Make sure you have:
-club soda-(I used lime flavor)
I prefer to juice the lemon and orange fresh, but pre-squeezed will do just fine. Add the juices and thyme into a cocktail shaker and shake to infuse the thyme flavor into the citrus. Pour into a glass and top with the white wine. I used Moscato because I like things sweet, but any white wine will do! Top with a little bit of bubbly water and enjoy!
‘Tis the season for apples, and they are incredible right now. It only felt right to create a cocktail with them, and cranberries are the perfect partner. Plus, it’s very easy. You will need:
-1.5oz. Apple Cider Whiskey
-Fresh Apple for Garnish
Add equal parts cranberry and apple juice, the whiskey, and a squeeze of fresh lemon over ice. Stir together and add some fresh apple slices for garnish. We are blessed and have a source that provides us with apple juice from garden fresh apples, which I highly recommend. This cocktail is dangerously delicious!
I am a big margarita girl, so I take it upon myself to create one for every season. These fall flavors are the perfect combination. Try it out next taco Tuesday! Or, tonight. It’s never a bad time for a marg. You will need:
-Salt for the Rim
Mix everything in a cocktail shaker and pour over ice. You can quickly make pear purée in a blender or food processor. Don’t forget to salt the rim! There are lots of options for garnish on this one: apple slices, pear slices, lime, cinnamon...get creative! That’s half of the fun anyway. It’s not a traditional marg, but it’s really good!
We hope these new mixers bring joy to your home! Open the bar, because we are here to celebrate!
