Party Planning Essentials from Trader Joe's

Hello! Welcome to Trader Joe's where you can get literally anything you need for your party without spending a fortune!

Just kidding, I don’t work at Trader Joe's (I wish I did), I just shop there. A lot. And I am here to tell you how easy it is to throw a party with the help of our friendly Trader’s, because they have so many essentials that you need to be a great host. If you shop at Trader Joe's, you already know how awesome they are. And if you don’t, you need to reevaluate your life. Let’s get shopping!

First essential on the list….

Every time I go to TJ’s, I am so impressed with the wonderful selection of flowers they have. They are also super affordable and always look so fresh and colorful. They are great for centerpieces and to add a little extra decor to any party.

Random but necessary…

These would be great for centerpieces at a fancy dinner or to add some extra ambiance to an evening gathering. $2.99 for eight candles? I would get these even if I want’s throwing a party (I did).

Definitely an essential...

Trader Joe’s offers a phenomenal selection of drinks, alcohol and non-alcoholic, so you are sure to find something to please your guests. They also have some great seltzer waters and flavored sodas that make some great mixers for your cocktails! One of my personal favorites is the Sparkling Coconut Water with Yuzu-use this for a fun spin on a Gin & Tonic! Plus, the packaging is way cuter than buying soda at the regular grocery store. It’s a win-win.

Now...let’s talk FOOD.

Charcuterie Board Supplies.

Trader Joe's has literally everything you need to make a beautiful and tasty spread for your event. They have the bread, the crackers, the meats, the cheeses, the jams, the spreads… the list goes on and on.

Their cheese is also so affordable! Check out our post on the guide to making a winter charcuterie board here. Thanks Kim!

If there is anything at Trader Joe's that is going to make your life easier, it is the pre-made appetizers. This will save you time and money, and impress your friends. Some of my current favorites are:

  • Spizzico di Pizza

  • Hold The Corn Appetizers

  • Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Goat cheese

  • Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip w/ Cheese and Garlic Croutons

I am not ashamed to say that I can spend hours in Trader Joe's just looking at all the fun, yummy things they have to offer! It’s a great store for party planners and will help you make sure your next event goes off without a hitch. Let us know what appetizers you try and love.

Happy Trading!
