I think we can all agree that winter weddings don’t get the hype they deserve. To be honest, I don’t love winter, but I do love weddings! And yes-you can get married in the winter months without having a Christmas theme. These favors are specific to the cold weather and winter months without being focused around Christmas!
All of these tags were designed and personalized on canva.
1. Blankets: “To have and to hold when you get cold”
Okay. Let’s be real. Who doesn’t love getting a blanket? Blankets are the perfect gift for your wedding guests to send them home feeling extra cozy and ready to cuddle up. I would especially recommend this favor if your guest count is on the smaller side. Blankets can be a more expensive option when it comes to a wedding favor, but if you buy them in bulk and make the tags yourself you can cut costs! Don’t want to splurge this much on the favors (I get it, weddings are expensive enough as it is)? Give them as
gifts to your bridal party members and parents instead. You could even get them monogrammed with your wedding date!
2. Mugs and Coffee/Tea: “Love is Brewing”
Now, onto the less expensive options-yay saving money! I always comment on how many mugs I currently own, (which is a lot), but yet, every time I get a new one I get so excited. They are a crowd pleaser and the perfect wedding favor. There are many websites where you can personalize them with your name and/or date, and usually the more you buy the cheaper they are! Making this the perfect option for the larger guest counts. Go the extra mile and add some coffee or tea and your guests will feel spoiled!
Pro money-saving tip: Go the vintage route and shop for the mugs at local thrift stores! The mugs will be unique and add an extra little detail to the decor. Make a little sticker to go on the coffee or tea that personalizes it, especially if you want to use our oh-so-cleaver pun we generously came up with. After all, we don’t want your guests to forget where it came from, right?
3. Candles: “Keep Love Burning”
Are you tired of the cheesy wedding puns yet? Don’t worry this is my last, and by far least expensive, one. I am a big candle girl, especially in the winter. I got a candle as a favor from a wedding that I attending last November, and I used it every day until it was gone. This is a gift that your guests will love and use!
Although favors aren't a necessity at a wedding, they do add something extra special to thank your guests for being there for one of the happiest days of your life! If you add a little DIY magic, you can create something cute that won't break the bank.
Happy Wedding Day!
